Do you remember bygone days when life was simpler? A gentle breeze blowing across the prairie, children laughing and playing in their yards, a quilt hanging on a clothesline strung between two trees. We want to bring those days back to you even if only for a long weekend. The theme of our show in 2010 is “Remembering a Simpler Time”. We will have many special exhibits that will evoke those feelings of a simpler, less hectic life. Our Chairman’s Choice category for the show is quilts made from 1930’s reproduction fabrics. The Bear Creek Quilt Guild Biennial Show will be held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, Amon Carter Exhibit Hall in Fort Worth, Texas on April 9, 10 and 11. This will be our second year at the Amon Carter Exhibit Hall after many successful shows in a smaller venue. Our show will be bigger and better than ever. There will be over 400 quilts to view, special demonstrations, vendor mall, small quilt auction, raffle quilt drawing, scissor sharpening, door prize drawings and much more! We hope you will come and take a brief respite from your busy life. Browse the special exhibits, sit a bit and enjoy a demonstration to learn a new technique, walk through the quilts and pick your favorite to cast your ballot for ‘Viewer’s Choice’.
